Wedding Hair - How to ensure you love it (and my recommendation!)

The hairstyle you wear on your wedding day is a big deal. It’s the style that shows up in all the images - the professional ones and the ones your friend snaps with her phone. It’s the hairstyle you’ll look back on as a mark of the trends of the time, in the same way you might have looked at your mom’s eighties hair with its big waves, or your grandma’s fifties pin-curls.

The perfect look for you

is not something you can find on Pinterest.

The best way to ensure you love your hair is to select the right stylist. You can look through all the bridal magazines, you can scroll through Pinterest for hours, but the best way to ensure that you adore your wedding hairstyle is to find an expert you trust to do the job. Some brides have their go-to hair stylist. Other brides get one haircut a year from whomever is free that week, so choosing a hairstylist for their wedding day feels impossible.

Here is where my latest recommendation comes in!

Over the 2019 wedding season, I was delighted that two of the brides I photographed asked Taylor Buono to do their hair. I cannot recommend her enough. Taylor is amazing at listening to the ideas that brides have for their hair and then going above and beyond. You might say that you want curls and a braid - Taylor will give you the most gorgeous, glamorous curls, and then add in an intricate braid that puts the stylists of Game of Thrones to shame. Taylor knows her stuff.

What’s more is that she is delightful. On your wedding day, you will spend anywhere from 1 to 3 hours with your stylist. More if you have a big bridal party. Taylor is a person that you will want to spend hours with on your wedding day. I recommend her highly (and not only because she did my hair when I got married!)
